What is GBR?
Guided Bone Regeneration is a surgical technique that uses specialized bone materials (autologous or synthetic) and a protective membrane, which help in the natural regeneration of bone in areas where it is missing.
The membrane serves to "guide" the appropriate cells toward the formation of new bone and to prevent the intrusion of soft tissues into the regeneration area.
